‘Garden in a Teacup”


Create a living miniature garden in a teacup.

Bring it to the Open Garden from the 1st May and they will be judged on the 3rd May with prizes for the winners.

The plant can then be donated to sell for charity or you can take it home with you.


Wild Life in the Garden 

With Naturalist and TV Presenter Nigel Marven

Nigel will give talks with his collection of animals at 11am and 2pm each day in the garden, you will be able to chat with Nigel and handle some of the animals.

Sculpture and Art Trail

New installations have been added this year; a continuing theme of ‘Safe Places” for you to enjoy.

 Several artists have been inspired by the garden here at Warton Hall when the bluebells are out as well as through the winter months where everything thing id resting.

Artist painter from Kota Kinabalu, Sabah Borneo, Malaysia. Her works are based on nature and people and her life experience. She lives & works at Borneo Art Base in Kota Kinabalu and Gallery Strandvang on Bornholm, Denmark.

Ceramics made by British Maker Tilly Young.

Bronze Sculptures by Nicola Thompson; I have been working all year on a new collection of sculptures carved in stone and cast in bronze.  They will be on sale to the public for the very first time.

LandArtforKids.com Afternoon Workshops 

Join Environmental Artists Richard Shilling and Julia Brooklyn for this Natural Art Family Workshop.

Suitable for all the family and children of any age, come and make all sorts of interesting sculptures, mandalas, spirals, stacks using Mother Nature’s natural materials.

Drop-in whenever you like and stay as long as you like, let your imaginations run free!

Natural Art & Mandala Workshop with environmental artists Richard Shilling & Julia Brooklyn. Come and join us at Halton Mill to create intricate mandalas and other creations, using a plethora of Mother Nature’s fascinating materials. Suitable for all, over 10’s only. All materials supplied.

Price: £15 per person booking essential as places are limited (a percentage goes towards the NGS charity)

Design a Decorative Birch Planter

British Florist Association 2017 Finalists Bond & Bloom in Lytham will be hosting a floristry workshop on the morning of the Bank Holiday, Monday 7 May, here at Warton Hall. The class will run from 11am – 1pm and will cost £30 per person including materials.

Beginners Modern Calligraphy

Beverley Mellor Bates brings a different slant to traditional calligraphy and leads you through the first steps of creating a most wonderful art form. Workshop includes a pack to take home with pen and practice sheets.

There will be other Classes available to book in the coming week.
